SES Side Scan Transducer |
|||
|
|
The Side Scan Option for the SES systems
is a very useful tool for applications which require
different survey techniques to get as most as possible
information and not only sub-bottom data. For example the
dredging industry can benefit from surveying an area with
the side scan very quickly to find rock outcrops or stones
and obstacles and later on to survey the area with the
sub-bottom profiler to get data about embedded structures
and sediment layering. Also archaeological surveys, pipeline
tracking surveys, preinvestigation surveys of construction
sites (e.g. wind parks) or the classification of the seabed
are common applications for such a side scan instrument. |
