Airports
- Hamburg (HAM): Distance about 200km, major airport with connections to many destinations around the world. Transfer by train or car (c. 2 hours drive). Due to the reconstruction of the railways, there is currently a rail replacement service that may cause severe delays and cannot be recommended.
- Berlin Brandenburg (BER): Distance about 260km, major airport with connections to many destinations around the world. Transfer by train or car (c. 2.5 hours drive). Several direct train connections per day between Rostock main station and BER airport, more with change in Berlin main station.
- Rostock-Laage (RLG): Distance about 50km, local airport with limited connections, currently to Antalya only. Transfer by bus, taxi or car (c. 0.5 hours drive).
- Lübeck (LBC): Distance about 120km, local airport with connections to London, Malaga and Mallorca. Transfer by train, taxi or car (c. 1.5 hours drive).
- Copenhagen / Denmark (CPH): Distance about 215km, major airport with connections to many destinations around the world.. Transfer via Gedser ferry (see below) by train, bus or car (c. 1.5 hours drive from airport to Gedser).
- Szczecin / Poland (SZZ): Distance about 250km, local airport with connections to London, Liverpool, Dublin, Oslo and Bergen. Transfer by car (c. 3 hours drive).
Ferries
- Gedser (Denmark): Scandlines. The ferry crossing takes almost 2 hours, several departures throughout the day.
- Trelleborg (Sweden): TT-Line, Stena Line. Only a few crossings per day.
From various destinations there are also ferries to Lübeck (about 125km West of Rostock) and Sassnitz (about 170km East of Rostock) that might offer good connections to your place.
Trains
There are a lot of trains to Rostock main station, operated by Deutsche Bahn. From Rostock main station you can use the city train ("S-Bahn") to Rostock-Warnemünde.
Car
There are motorways to Hamburg (A20 / A1), Lübeck (A20), Berlin (A19) and Sczecin/Poland (A20). From motorway A20 take exit 14 "Rostock West", direction Warnemünde).
